Project PINK offers the following breast care:

• Screening mammogram (on event day)

• One diagnostic follow-up exam (if recommended)

• Biopsy* (if needed)

*Prior to biopsy, patients should contact the Mecklenburg County Health Department (704-336-6495) to seek eligibility for their Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Program.

Project PINK eligibility guidelines:

• Women must be 40 years or older

• Must not have insurance covering a mammogram annually

• Must not have Medicare or Medicaid

• Must live in Mecklenburg County, NC

• Must have a primary care provider

• Must be one year since previous mammogram

• Must not be pregnant or breastfeeding

• Must have no new breast lumps/concerns (patient should promptly contact their primary care physician if experiencing breast problems) or have pre-existing conditions

Free and low-cost breast cancer screening to women who meet income guidelines.
